Blood shed in Syria

DAMASCUS: At least 27 people have been killed and 97 wounded in two explosions in the Syrian capital Damascus, said officials. The state television described the attacks as “terrorist attacks”.

It said that the vehicles packed with detonation have been detonated. Intelligence and police buildings were hit in the attack.

Since foreign journalists have restricted entry into the area hence reports cannot be verified independently.

Many peoples have been killed in bomb attacks in Damascus and Aleppo in recent months. The oppositon is accusing the authorities for staging some of the attacks.

The attacks came 2 days after the first anniversary of Syrian revolt which claimed more than 8000 lives till now.

“All our windows and doors are blown out,” local resident Majed Seibiyah, 29, told the Associated Press news agency.

“I was sleeping when I heard a sound like an earthquake. I didn’t grasp what was happening until I heard screaming in the street.”
