1984 Sikh Riots: Charesheets Filed against Sajjan Kumar

In two separate cases pertaining to 1984-Sikh riots, CBI has chargesheeted former Congress MP Sajjan Kumar a Delhi court, said reports.

The investigation report was submitted in the court of Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Kaveri Baweja, reported PTI.

The cases in which the chargesheets were filed against Kumar and others were registered in Sultanpuri and Delhi Cantt police stations after the killing of seven and five persons respectively in the riots that broke after assassination of then Prime Minister Indira Gandhi.

The investigating agency also filed a closure report in a case registered with the Mongolpuri police station in which one person was killed in the carnage.
