Rescue Operations Continue to Save Child out of Borewell

Rescue operations continue on Monday morning to save a two-year old, who plunged into a 30 feet deep borewell in Warangal district in Andhra Pradesh on Sunday evening, reported ANI.

Darawath Prasad, the boy, reportedly fell into the open borewell by accident when he was playing in an agriculture field in Thorrur mandal around 4.30 pm.

The report said that the borewell was dug up nearly four months ago and was supposed to be lidded but was left open.

A police official monitoring the rescue operation was quoted as saying that a parallel pit was being dug beside the borewell, but people involved could not hear any cries of the child.

A large number of people have gathered at the spot to assist the rescue team, who are reported to be supplying oxygen into the pit through a pipe, said report.
