It is said that Patidars used to sleep for only three to four hours out of 24 hours during that time to gather crowd in Shah’s meeting and make the meeting successful. On March 25, Union Home Minister Amit Shah had visited Chhindwara. Shah had to come directly from Nagpur to Aanchalkund Dham, the tribal proven area of Chhindwara. When he came to know that Shah was not coming, he directly came to Chhindwara. Here Shah held a meeting at SAF Ground. Senior leaders remained silent in front of Shah, but Kavita Patidar went on stage and requested him to go to Aanchalkund. After listening to Patidar, Shah again made a program of Aanchalkund and reached the tribal pilgrimage area.
Aanchalkund Dada Darbar Temple is the center of faith of the tribals. Shah’s Chhindwara tour was to begin with a visit here. But, being late, he went to the meeting first. Then reached the temple from there.
35% OBC population in Chhindwara Lok Sabha constituency
Chhindwara Lok Sabha seat with about 25 lakh voters has 7 assembly seats. 2 seats, Saunsar and Pandhurna are on the border of Maharashtra. Tribal society is abundant in Parasia, Junnardev, Amarwada, Chaurai. The presence of almost all classes is seen in the Chhindwara assembly seat. The population here is 38% tribal, 35% OBC, 12% SC, 10% general, 5% Muslim and other castes. Considering the large number of backward caste voters and votes of half the population, the party may give ticket to Kavita Patidar.
