Bhopal: Uma Bharti demands more candidates from Lodhi caste

Senior BJP leader and union minister Uma Bharti has written to BJP national president Amit Shah and demanded that more tickets be given to candidates from Lodhi caste. Uma has also attached a letter from Akhil Bhartiya Lodhi Mahasabha that claims that votes of Lodhi community could influence the results in nine states. The letter stated that in five states including Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, Chhatisgarh and Rajasthan there are several seats which have constituencies comprising more than 2 lakhs votes of Lodhi community. Uma Bharti has written that Lodhi community members are loyal to BJP but it does not have appropriate representation.
