Govt. to Bear Infant’s Medical Expenses: Chouhan

Bhopal  —  Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan on Wednesday announced that the state government will make all arrangements for the treatment of Arushi, who recently suffered burn injuries after being scalded in an incubator in the intensive care unit at the Hamidia hospital.

Chouhan said Principal Secretary Health Education has been entrusted with the task of arranging the treatment, to be provided at the Bombay hospital in Indore.

The Chief Minister accompanied by his wife Sadhna Singh visited a private hospital in the Jawahar Chowk area of the state capital to inquire over the well being of the child.

Apart from making all arrangements for Arushi’s medical treatment, the state government will also bear the expenses on the travel, lodging and all other necessary requirements of her parents, he said.

The matter is being investigated by the hospital dean following which appropriate action would be initiated against the guilty, he added.

Aarushi was suffered serious burn injuries when a warmer fitted in the incubator fell on her.
