Election results: BJP set to form government in Gujarat, Himachal Pradesh; PM Modi, Shah express gratitude

Ahmedabad: Prime Minister Narendra Modi and BJP chief Amit Shah took to Twitter to thank voters for showing their faith on Bharatiya Janata Party, which looks set to form government both in Gujarat and Himachal Pradesh. PM Modi and Amit Shah, chief campaigners for the party, tweeted expressing their gratitude towards the people and congratulated BJP workers for their hardwork.

PM Modi tweeted, “I bow to the people of Gujarat and Himachal Pradesh for their affection and trust in BJP. I assure them that we will leave no stone unturned in furthering the development journey of these states and serve the people tirelessly.” In a subsequent tweet, PM Modi said that the results in both the states indicate a strong support for ‘politics of good governance and development’.

BJP chief Amit Shah tweeted saying (close translation from Hindi), “Congratulations to CM Vijay Rupani, Deputy CM Nitinbhai Patel, BJP state president Jitu Vaghani and all the party workers in Gujarat. Many thanks to all the people who continued to believe in the vision of development of Gujarat.”

In another tweet, Shah said, “Thank you to all those from Himachal Pradesh who believed in the development policies of the government led by Narendra Modi, and gave us a huge majority. I also thank all our party karyakartas and congratulate Satpal Singh Satti and Prem Kumar Dhumal.”
