Holy city Orchha will be connected to Ayodhya: Union Minister Gadkari

Union Minister for Road, Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari has said that we have been fortunate enough to carry out basic work related to the movement of common people on the land of Bundelkhand, especially Ramlala government land in Orchha. He said that just as Ayodhya is being connected to Janakpur, similarly the holy city of Orchha will also be connected to Ayodhya. An action plan is being made for it.

Union Minister Gadkari was addressing the programme organised for the dedication and foundation laying of 18 road projects at a cost of Rs 6800 crore at Orchha in Niwari district today. Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan presided over the programme.

Union Minister Gadkari said that like 84 Kosi Parikrama Pad Path is being constructed in Ayodhya, on the same lines, Ram’s Pad Path should be constructed connecting Orchha and surrounding areas. It should include the action plan of things related to the story of Shri Ram.

Just as the description of Ayodhya is found in the Puranas, on the same lines we must prepare an action plan by including references related to Shri Ram and things related to wall painting etc. He said that Pitambara Peeth should prepare a roadmap for the construction of Datia-Jhansi-Orchha circuit. He said that a proposal should be made to develop Orchha’s bus stand with modern beautification and tourism point of view.

Union Minister Gadkari said that the road infrastructure of Madhya Pradesh and Bundelkhand will be at par with that of America by the year 2024. Gadkari approved the proposal of the state government for the construction of roads and culverts costing about Rs one thousand crore. He said that after the construction of the four-lane road, the journey from Bhopal to Kanpur would be completed in just 7-8 hours.

Chief Minister Chouhan has said that Ram resides in our being. Our existence and life is also Ram. Ram is the identity of India. Children will be taught about Bhagwan Ram and Tulsidas in their books. Chief Minister Chouhan said that on the lines of Mahakal Mahalok in Ujjain, Ramraja Lok will be constructed in Orchha and Vanvasi Ramlok in Chitrakoot. Also, the state government will also work on Ram Van Gaman Path. Orchha will be connected to Ayodhya. With the cooperation being given to Madhya Pradesh by the Union Minister Gadkari, we will develop all the bus stand of the state from the point of view of tourism. On the advice of the Union Minister Gadkari, the Chief Minister announced to provide land at the earliest for the construction of a modern bus stand in Orchha.

Chief MinisterChouhan said that the work of connecting not only Madhya Pradesh but the country is being done under the amazing leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Union Road Transport and Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari is doing this work by laying a network of roads. Gadkari has come today to gift 18 road projects of 550 km length worth Rs. 6800 crore to Madhya Pradesh including Bundelkhand. Not only this, Shri Gadkari ji is facilitating the journey of the devotees by getting a rope-way constructed from the railway station to visit Mahakal Baba in Ujjain. He said that on the call of Union Minister Dr. Virendra Kumar, Gadkari will now get a ropeway constructed for Taramai’s darshan as well.

Chief Minister Chouhan said that the Central government is providing full co-operation to make Madhya Pradesh a leader in development. Today is a wonderful day for the Bundelkhand region, because our Shri Gadkari has arrived with gifts of many roads. Whatever we asked of him for the development of Madhya Pradesh, he immediately fulfilled it. The Chief Minister said that roads worth Rs. 44 thousand crore are being built in the Bundelkhand region alone. This area has also got the gift of Ken-Betwa project. This project will soon quench the thirst of Bundelkhand farms and this region will leave Punjab-Haryana behind.

Chief Minister Chouhan said that a double engine government is running in Madhya Pradesh under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Modi. Along with education, health, employment, ration, drinking water, housing, other basic facilities are being made available to the common people. Along with this, the work of infrastructure is also being done on a large scale. The Chief Minister said that in the next two months, tap water will be made available to every household in Niwari district.

Union Minister for Social Justice and Empowerment Dr. Virendra Kumar said that it is a day of gifts for the country, state and Bundelkhand. So many national highway projects have been provided in a single day. Also, with the construction of a bridge on the Jamni-Betwa river, the years-old demand of the people has been fulfilled.

Union Minister of State for Jal Shakti Prahlad Patel said that earlier when Bundelkhand was discussed, there was talk of migration and starvation. But no other part of the country has as much heritage as Bundelkhand has. Perhaps some deception happened to us which is over now. Today we are on the path of development.

Khajuraho MP VD Sharma said that under the leadership of Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, the network of roads in Madhya Pradesh has reached remote rural areas, as a result of which the people of the state are getting better transportation facilities as well as the development of the state has got impetus

Minister in-charge of Public Works and Niwari district Gopal Bhargava delivered a welcome address in the programme. He said that after the year 2014, the roads of the national highway have been built rapidly in the state. He demanded the Union Minister Gadkari to approve the remaining 8 flyovers out of 23 under the Setubandh scheme.
