Launch drive to distribute plot holder certificates: CM

Bhopal: Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that plot holder certificates should be distributed to all families dwelling at the same place for a long time. No eligible family should be left out. He directed to distribute such certificates by launching a drive. Shri Chouhan was chairing 12th meeting of general body of Madhya Pradesh Rural Roads Development Authority here today. He also reviewed works under Mukhyamantri Aawas Mission.

Finance Minister Shri Jayant Malaiya, Panchayats & Rural Development Minister Shri Gopal Bhargava, PWD Minister Shri Sartaj Singh, Agriculture Minister Shri Gaurishankar Bisen, SC, ST Welfare Minister Shri Gyan Singh and Chief Secretary Shri Anthony de Sa attended the meeting.

The Chief Minister said that every eligible person should get benefit. Therefore, process in this work should be clear and simple. He said that prescribed priority of beneficiaries under Mukhyamantri Aawas Yojana must be adhered to strictly. Eligible person must get benefit directly. It should be ensured that beneficiaries are benefited only as per pre-determined order. Transparency should be exercised in the work. Shri Chouhan said that supervision, repairs and maintenance of roads must be monitored regularly. He stressed the need for maintenance of commercial roads
under PPP mode.

The meeting was informed that 62 thousand km long roads have been constructed under the scheme so far. Of these, maintenance period of 36 thousand km long roads is 5 years. For remaining 26 thousand km long roads, agreements have been signed for maintenance and repairs for 5 years post-construction. Under Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana, 732 km long roads will be constructed at a cost of Rs. 313 crore to link 277 new revenue villages. Of these, construction of 353 km long roads connecting 123 villages has been started. The 315 km long 109 gravel roads sanctioned earlier are being asphalted at a cost of Rs. 91 crore. In the state, roads of 17 thousand 12 villages under total 52 thousand 117 villages were sanctioned under Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana. Of these, 14 thousand 650 villages have been connected. Under Mukhyamantri Grameen Aawas Mission, loans have been sanctioned to 4 lakh 73 thousand 622 families. Of these, 3 lakh one thousand 518 families have completed their houses. Unit cost has increased from Rs. 70 thousand to Rs. one lakh 20 thousand. Provision of Rs. 60 crore has been made under the scheme for year 2015-16.
