New Industrial Township between Bhopal and Indore

Bhopal: Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan has directed to identify land for establishing a new industrial township between Bhopal and Indore. Chief Minister Shri Chouhan was reviewing the progress of Delhi-Mumbai Industrial Corridor Project here today. He directed to complete various works related to the project at the earliest. Commerce and Industries Minister Shri Kailash Vijayvargiya and Chief Secretary Shri R. Parasuram were also present on the occasion.

Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that wherever government land is available on the route of Delhi-Mumbai Industrial Corridor Project, it should be first identified for industries. Besides, development works pertaining to Bhopal-Bina, Bhopal-Indore and Jabalpur-Singrauli industrial corridors should also be expedited. Shri Chouhan also directed that lands for industries should be identified near A.B. Road in Bhind, Morena and Datia districts.

At the meeting, progress of Knowledge City proposed near Ujjain was also reviewed. It was informed that process is underway to acquire land for Knowledge City. Consent has been given to acquire vacant space in Special Economic Zone, Pithampur for Multi-Modal Logistics Hub. Similarly, in-principle consent has been given for proposed Economic Corridor from Indore airport to Pithampur. Additional Chief Secretary Shri P.K. Dash and senior officers of other departments were present at the meeting.

Meeting with industrialists

Earlier during scheduled meetings with industrialists, Chief Minister Shri Chouhan met My Home, Hyderabad’s Managing Director Shri J. Ranjeet Rao. This group wishes to set a five million tonne cement plant in Satna district. Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that the State Government is making constant efforts to increase industrial investment in Madhya Pradesh and providing jobs to people.
