Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah: Dayaben aka Disha Vakani to finally join after her maternity break

SAB TV’s popular sitcom Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah (TMKOC) has been creating a lot of buzz lately. The show has regained its lost position in the ratings chart and now there is some more good news for its fans.

Actress Disha Vakani, who has been missing from the show since September 2017 will soon be back. Disha was blessed with a baby girl in November and was on a maternity break after that. But from the last few months, speculations have been rife about her comeback.

Producer Asit Kumarr Modi spoke to Tellychakkar and revealed that the actress will soon be making a comeback on the show. He said, “Daya has been an integral part of Taarak Mehta. Because of Disha’s maternity leave, we have to give her a break. Now, talks are on about bringing Daya’s character back in the show. Viewers can look forward to Daya’s character in two months.”

A couple of months back Disha took to Instagram to inform her fans that her circumstances doesn’t favour her return, which had left her fans disheartened.

She wrote, “Everyone is telling me to come back on show especially you all peoples. I really missed the trkmoc . I likely to come on show. But circumstances doesn’t favour this. ?? Thanks for understanding and supporting me ! Keep loving and watching Tarak mehta ka ooltah chashmah . ?? #Dishadiloves #trkmoc.” But, looks like Modi’s confirmation will surely make them happy. ”

Disha delivered a baby girl Stuti in November last year and was slated to report back on the sets of Taarak Mehta in March this year. Disha has been associated with the show since the very inception from the year 2008. Taarak Mehta is also the longest running Indian sitcom and has entered the Limca Book of World Records for its feat.

Nirmal Soni has ben roped in to play Dr Hathi.
Meanwhile, the makers of TMKOC have reportedly roped in actor Nirmal Soni as Dr Hathi. Soni had played Dr Hathi’s role initially before late Kavi Kumar Azad had taken his place in 2009. The makers were finding it difficult to find a replacement after the sudden demise of Azad on July 9, 2018.
