US wants to work with India in Indo-Pacific zone

Washington: United States has said as it implements its strategic rebalance to Asia, it will work with India to address both the challenges and the opportunities across the Indo-Pacific region.
“The sixth session of US-India East Asia Consultations here on Friday will discuss a variety of issues including maritime security, expanding regional trade opportunities and increasing our cooperation in multilateral fora,” a State Department announcement said.

The Indian delegation will include Joint Secretary for East Asia Gautam Bambawale, Secretary for Americas Vikram Doraiswami and Indian Ambassador S Jaishankar.
