Mild Earthquake rocks Gujarat and Maharashtra

MUMBAI: Gujarat and Maharashtra was shocked by two mild earthquakes on Saturday. The earth quake measured 4.5 and 4.9 on the Richter scale.

The director of weather forecasting Rajeev Nair said that the first tremor was felt at 8.53am in Gujarat with the epicenter in Bhuj and second was felt at 11.05am, this time with the epicenter in Satara district of western Maharashtra.

Nair said, “We are still awaiting details of the impact of these two tremors, but so far there are no reports of any human casualties or damage.”
