NCP to Elect Legislature Party Leader on Monday
Legislatures of NCP will meet on Monday to decide on their leader for the post of next deputy chief minister of Maharashtra.
NCP state unit spokesman Madan Bafna told reporters in Mumbai that the meeting would be convened at 1 pm at the party office in Vidhan Bhavan, South Mumbai.
He said that Civil Aviation Minister Praful Patel, senior leaders D P Tripathi, Tariq Anwar and Govindrao Adik have been appointed observers to oversee the process.
It may be mentioned that besides the incumber Chhagan Bhujbal, many others including state unit president RR Patil and NCP chief Sharad Pawar’s nephew and cabinet minister Ajit Pawar are reported to be the race for the number two rank.
