IPL Points Table 2019, Standings, ranking, orange cap, purple cap after RR vs DC match

Rishabh Pant’s unbeaten 78 overshadowed Ajinkya Rahane’sscintillating century at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur as Delhi Capitals beat Rajasthan Royals by six wickets in match No.40 of IPL 2019.

“We probably didn’t finish off with the bat as well as we could have. I thought Morris and Rabada executed well in the backend. This was the best wicket we have played on all tournament. Shikhar played a magnificent knock, and Rishabh is a powerful young man, and he plays the ball in strange spots,” Steve Smith said after the defeat.

Updated Points table:

Delhi Capitals go atop in the IPL 2019 points table with their emphatic win in Jaipur. They now have 14 points in 11 games standing only above CSK in terms of net run rate. Rajasthan Royals stay seventh in the table with only two wins in 10 games.

Orange Cap table:

Sunrisers Hyderabad’s opening pair of David Warner and Jonny Bairstow stands atop in the Orange Cap table with their respective tally of 517 and 445 runs in nine innings this season. They are followed by Kings XI Punjab opener Chris Gayle with 421 runs in nine innings. Meanwhile, Shikhar Dhawan made his way to the top-five list with his fourth IPL fifty this season en route to his score of 54. He now has 401 runs in 11 innings this season. The list is completed by KXIP’s KL Rahul with 399 runs in 10 matches.

Purple Cap table:

Delhi Capitals pacer Kagiso Rabada stands atop in the Purple Cap table with 23 wickets in 11 matches this season. He dismissed Stuart Binny and Royan Parag in the final over of Rajasthan Royals innings on Monday. CSK leggie Imran Tahir stands second with 16 wickets. Meanwhile, Shreyas Gopal climbed to the sixth spot in the table with his two-fer in the game against DC in Jaipur. He dismissed both the Delhi openers – Dhawan and Prithvi Shaw – to take his tally of wickets to 12 in 10 games this season.
