World Ayurved Congress to be held at Bhopal from December 7

Bhopal: The fifth Ayurved Congress will be held at Bhopal from December 7 to 10. About 200 foreign representatives from 26 countries and 4000 Ayurved specialists, student, researchers and doctors will participate in it. Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan has directed to make best possible preparations for this global-level event to be held under the joint aegis of Madhya Pradesh government, Vigyan Bharti, Arogya Bharti and World Ayurved Foundation. Lal Parade Ground of Bhopal will be the venue of the proposed event. The venue will be developed over about 1.75 lakh square feet area. Biotechnology Minister Shri Kailash Vijayvargiya and Chief Secretary Shri R. Parasuram were also present at the meeting.
Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that Ayurvedd is an effective system of treatment. Priority should be given to discuss ways to increase people’s trust in it at the congress. He said that AYUSH is India’s ancient system of medical treatment through which the disease is diagnosed and rooted out forever. Special emphasis should be laid to establish this concept. He said that necessary information with regard to preventive measures should be disseminated among people so that diseases do not occur. He directed to give information about results of discussions to be made at the congress in local dialects also.
Biotechnology Minister Shri Vijayvargiya said that information about possibilities and richness of Ayurved in the state should also be given at the congress.
It was informed at the meeting that various programmes will be held during Ayurved Congress and Aryogya Expo. For creating public awareness, Bhagwan Dhanavantri Yatra will reach Bhopal on November 24 via Gwalior Rewa and Burhanpur.
During the International Ayurved Congress, vice-chancellors of all the five Ayurved universities will come to Bhopal. At the congress, five thousand patients will be examined. During the event, training, International Teacher-Student Convention, Panchkarma, Ksharkarm, workshops, Aryogya Expo, scientific writing on Ayurved and conference of international representatives will also be held. For the first time, education conference will also be held. The congress will be addressed by 157 speakers, 252 researchers will read out papers, 430 demonstrations will be made and 225 species of medicinal plants will be exhibited.
