Vindhya Mahotsav included in state’s cultural calendar

Bhopal: Minister of State for Tourism and Culture Shri Surendra Patwa inaugurated Vindhya Mahotsav. The function was presided over by Mineral Resources and Public Relations Minister Shri Rajendra Shukla.

Shri Patwa said that Mahotsav will turn out to be a medium to interconnect people. Rewa has a distinct culture. Its cultural heritage and tourist places need to be preserved. He said that echo of Vindhya Mahotsav will be heard throughout the state and country.

Shri Patwa expressed gratitude towards the Energy Minister for development of Rewa and preservation of its tourist places. He also lauded construction of tiger safari for return to white tiger to Rewa.

Minister Shri Shukla said that Vindhya Mahotsav has been included in cultural calendar of Madhya Pradesh. He said that efforts are underway to include Rewa in tourism circuit of the state. The Minister informed that work has been started to beautify and make attractive Chirhula Mandir on the lines of Rani Talab.

Chairman of Rewa Tourism Development Council and Collector Shri Rahul Jain also informed about Mahotsav. It was informed that over 50 self-help groups will sell their products in Shilp Gram. Journalist Shri Jairam Shukla informed about cultural and literary traditions of Vindhya region.

Earlier, Madhya Pradesh Gaan was sung on students of Girls College. The Ministers duo released Tourism Department’s brochure and Kala Panchang. MP Shri Janardan Mishra, MLA Shri Divyaraj Singh, Mayor Smt. Mamta Gupta, Satna Mayor Smt. Mamta Pandey and a number of art lovers were present on the occasion.

Shilp Gram inaugurated

The Ministers duo inaugurated Shilp Gram set up on the venue. They also inspected products of self-help groups and sought information about them from members of SHGs. The Ministers duo went round Vindhya Trade Fair.
