“Vikas Dashak” to be celebrated for month from October 29

Bhopal. The state government has decided to celebrate “Vikas Dashak” for one month from October 29 to November 29. It would be celebrated as a part of second month of “Garib Kalyan Varsh”.

During the period, achievements of the state government in infrastructure development, livelihoods programme, social security, increase in irrigation potential, electrification, women’s empowerment, good governance, education, health for all, sanitation and hygiene, increase in investment etc during 10 years from year 2005 to 2015 will be highlighted. Information about state government’s vision document for next 5 years will also be given.

“Vikas Dashak” programme will be held at state, district, development block and Gram Panchayat levels. Gram Sabha will be held on Madhya Pradesh Day – November 1 – at all Gram Panchayats. District level programmes will be held from November 2 to 29. Concerning district collectors will fix dates for the programme in consultation with minister in-charge of the district. CM Office will be informed about the date. The Chief Minister himself will participate in maximum district level programmes.

State level programme will be held at Bhopal on November 29. programmes of remaining levels will be conducted by district collectors through coordination with various departments. As far as possible, programmes will not be held on Diwali and other important festivals.

“Vikas Dashak” programmes also include Madhya Pradesh Foundation Day on November 1 and Swachchhata Abhiyan from November 1 to 7. Outlines for district, Janpad, urban body level programmes will be finalised by ministers in-charge of districts.

District level programmes

District level programmes will be held from 11 am followed by Antyodaya Mela where materials, grants, assistance etc. will be provided on a large scale to beneficiaries of various beneficiary-oriented schemes. Registrations under Atal Pension, Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti and Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana will also be made. Melas will also have arrangements for health check-up and public grievance redressal. Process will also be undertaken to open new accounts under Pradhan Mantri Jan-Dhan and Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana. Beneficiaries for Mela will be enlisted in advance. Cultural programmes will be held in collaboration with local artistes. Essay and speech competitions will be held in schools and colleges on last 10 years’ achievements of Madhya Pradesh government, development journey and vision document for next decade.

Urban body level

All urban bodies will take out processions highlighting last 10 years’ achievements in all wards. Brief cultural programmes will also be held. Participation of local public representatives will be ensured. Urban Development and Environment Departments will issues supplementary directives separately on “Vikas Dashak” programme.

Janpad level

“Vikas Main Vishwas” programmes will be held at all Janpad Panchayat headquarters where information will be given about achievements under various schemes in Janpad areas and vision document for next 5 years.

Gram Panchayat level

Following Gram Sabha at all Gram Panchayats on November 1, “Vikas Main Vishwas” programmes will be held where information will be given about last 10 years’ achievements in Gram Panchayat and “Report Dedicated to People” will be read out on behalf of Gram Panchayat. Exhibition at Panchayat building will also be held. Public Relations Department will hold an exhibition on venue and Chief Minister’s message will be read out.
