State Govt. to work in tandem with industry for states prosperity: CM

Bhopal. Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that the state government stands and will walk shoulder to shoulder with industrial world for state’s prosperity. No stone will be left unturned for this. Commerce and industries have significant role in progress of the state and country. The Chief Minister was addressing Outstanding Achievement Award-2015 function organised by Confederation of Madhya Pradesh Chamber of Commerce and Industries here today.

The Chief Minister said that achievements of industry in the state are a matter of pride. He said that it is endeavour of the state government that investments come to Madhya Pradesh and investors are raised in the state. He desired cooperation from the federation for this. He said that under Mukhyamantri Yuva Udyami Yojana to promote young entrepreneurs, loans at 5 percent loan subsidy for 7 years is given on state government’s guarantee. It is matter of happiness that 99 percent loanees are operating industries successfully. He said that agriculture is mainstay of state’s economy. Efforts to set up food processing units are also necessary to promote agriculture.

Shri Chouhan said that 7.50 crore people are running the state government. Under Gramoday Se Bharat Uday Abhiyan, villagers are themselves deciding about village development, form of agriculture, irrigation facilities, construction, repair of water structures and eligible and ineligible beneficiaries of beneficiary-oriented schemes. He said that the state government is the government of the people, for the people and by the people. Therefore, on the demand of industry, a separate Small and Medium industries Department has been constituted. In tandem with industry, departmental activities have been made online. Congratulating awardees, he said that it would inspire new entrepreneurs for better performance.

The Chief Minister also shared his experience of visit to Simhastha. He said that scene of Vasudhaiv Kutumbakam is emerging on the soil of Ujjain. Amalgam of all cultures and ideologies is visible in Simhastha. There is not even a iota of any disparity and discrimination at Ujjain these days. Annakshetras are being conducted without any discrimination. Saints and seers of various ideologies have assembled there unitedly. Devotees are going everywhere. He invited industrialists to witness this unique display of Indian culture at Ujjain.

Finance Minister Shri Jayant Malaiya wished commerce and industrial world success. He hoped that industry would continue to grow and contribute to state’s revenue.

Federation’s Chairman Shri Ramesh Chandra Agrawal said that industry has maximum opportunities of progress in the state. The Chief Minister is available 24X7 to fulfill needs of industrialists. Land bank of 62 thousand hectares with arrangements for power, roads and water is available in the state. Referring to possibilities in garment industry and defence manufacturing sector, he informed that the Federation will also give awards under Start-up category from next year.

Convener of the programme Shri I.S. Goswami threw light on activities of the confederation during last year. He informed that under social corporate responsibility, a resolve has been taken to develop one village in Bundelkhand region as national level best village.

The Chief Minister released 2 publications of the federation including ‘Path of the Progress’. Large Enterprise of the Year Public Sector Award was conferred to Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited and Private Sector Award to Trident, Budhni. Outstanding Achiever for Export Award was conferred to Bhaskar Industries Mandideep, R & D through Technology Award to Unitech Cement, Neemuch, Health Safety & Environment Friendly Enterprise Award to Crompton Grieves, Mandideep, Corporate Social Responsibility Award to Lupin Welfare Society, Mandideep, Jagaran Social Welare Society, Bhopal, Medium Enterprise of the Year Award to Ramni Ice-cream Corporation Limited, Bhopal and Woman Entrepreneur of the Year Award was conferred to Sushri Meenu Kaushik of Fortcort Healthcare Limited, Bhopal. Jury Awards were conferred to Union Bank of India, Bhopal, United Assurance Company, Bhopal, Deendayal Industries, Gwalior, Jagaran Lake City, Bhopal, PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industires, Shri Ashok Palod, Shri Yogesh Tamrakar and Shri Santosh Agrawal while Outstanding Correspondent Award was conferred to Shri Shashikant Trivedi.

Among awards for small and micro industries, Small Enterprise of the Year Award was conferred to S.R.K. Gas Industries, Satna, Outstanding Achiever of Export Award to Jest Pharma, Indore, Micro Enterprise of the Year Award to Shriji Industries, Betul, Health Safety and Environment Friendly Enterprise Award to Bend Joint Private Limited, Bhopal and award for giving maximum business in private sector was conferred to ITC, Bhopal. Jury members were also felicitated.
