Single Table Concept for Investment in Madhya Pradesh

Bhopal. Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan said that single table concept has been adopted in the state keeping in view the wide investment possibilities in Madhya Pradesh. Immediate decisions are taken by the Chief Minister and Minister for Industries every Monday on the basis of deliberations between the investors and the higher officers. He was addressing the Investment Seminar on possibilities of investment at Bengaluru today. Shri Chouhan extended the invitation to the Industrialists and representatives of the companies to attend Global Investors Summit to be held at Indore on October 22-23.

Deliberating on the possibilities of investment in the state, Shri Chouhan said that there are wide possibility of investment in tourism sector in Madhya Pradesh. Tourism cabinet has been made for this. Madhya Pradesh is full of natural beauty. There is a competition between states for progress. Country moves forward when states develop. Madhya Pradesh is no more Bimaru state. Madhya Pradesh has become progressive state now and is leading in many areas. Better infrastructure facilities are available in the state and better law and order situation prevails in the state. Once upon a time, Chambal region where there were dense ravines is now building its image as an industrial area.

Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that Madhya Pradesh is the first state which has completed river linking project. Narmada river was linked with Kshipra river. Shri Chouhan said farming alone cannot feed everybody that’s why the state government has focused on industries for employment generation for youths. Youths are being promoted to be entrepreneurs. Loan from Rs ten lakh to Rs one crore is being availed under Chief Minister Young Entrepreneur Scheme. They are provided 15 percent grants and five percent subsidy in interest for five years. Venture capital fund to the tune of Rs 100 crore has been formed. Policies have been changed for facility to investors and single window system has been put in the place. Public Service Guarantee Act has been made. Time limit has been set for delivering different services and there is provision of penalty for delay. Textile industry from Punjab is shifting to Madhya Pradesh only because of industry-friendly environment.

Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that today Madhya Pradesh is in leading states in infrastructure. Road, electricity and water are sufficiently available in Madhya Pradesh. What is more important is that present leadership is investors-friendly. Chief Minister of the state is not only CM, he is CEO too.  Industrial development is our highest priority and we want to spread not only major industries but also small and cottage industries.

Chief Minister Shri Chouhan called upon industrialists and companies CEOs to invest in Madhya Pradesh.

On the occasion, minister for industries Shri Rajendra  Shukla said that there is good environment for investment in the state. Chief Secretary Shri Antony de Sa, principal secretary, industries, Shri Mohammed Suleman informed about industrial policies.
