Secretary level officer for redressal of employees problem

Bhopal. A Secretary-level officer will be deployed in his secretariat for redressal of problems of officers and employees. Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan said while addressing a joint meeting of associations of officers and employees at Mantralaya on Monday. Finance Minister Shri Raghavji, Minister of State for General Administration Shri Kanhaiyalal Agrawal and Chief Secretary Shri R. Parasuram were also present on the occasion. At the meeting, officers and employees of various organisations put forth their views, problems and demands before the Chief Minister openly.
Shri Chouhan said that Madhya Pradesh government is an employee-friendly government and takes care of the interests of employees. The demands put forth by employees’ association will be seriously considered. Steps will be taken keeping in view financial limits. He informed about nomination of Secretary in the CM Secretariat Shri Vivek Agrawal for redressal of employees’ problems.
Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that employees’ role is vital in implementation of government’s programmes and schemes. He said that it is matter of pride that state has achieved growth rate of 10.02 percent during the 11th Five-Year Plan. Agriculture growth rate is also crossing nine percent, whereas it is below two percent at the national level. He said the officers and employees have also proved their mettle in wheat procurement exercise. He said that all will have to work unitedly and with full concentration to fulfil the resolve of delivering best services to the people of the state. For this, every person will have to put in his best contribution wherever he or she is.
Praising Chief Minister’s sensitivity towards state’s citizens, organisations of officers and employees, the unions urged that such meetings should be held regularly. The organisations put forth demands for removing pay discrepancies, pay scales and allowance at par with those of Central officers, same pay scales for similar cadres, same retirement age for all the cadres, extension of equal facilities for all the employees, acceptance of recommendations made by Agrawal Commission in the larger interests of employees etc.
Representatives of Madhya Pradesh Gazetted Officers Association, Madhya Pradesh State Employees Association, Madhya Pradesh Class III Employees Union, Madhya Pradesh Laghu Vetan Karmachari Sangh, Madhya Pradesh Shikshak Sangh, Madhya Pradesh Shikshak Congress, Madhya Pradesh Diploma Holders Assciation, Madhya Pradesh Health Employees Union, Madhya Pradesh Forest Employees Union, Madhya Pradesh Lipik Vargiya Karmachari Sangh, Madhya Pradesh Government Vehicle Drivers Union, Engineering Employees Union, Madhya Pradesh ITI Technical Employees Union, Madhya Pradesh Karmchari Congress, Madhya Pradesh SC, ST Employees Union (AJAKS), Madhya Pradesh Backward Class Officers-Employees Union (APAAKS), Madhya Pradesh Mantralaya Employees Union, Madhya Pradesh Patwari Union, Madhya Pradesh Revenue Inspectors Union and Madhya Pradesh Veterinary Officers Association were present on the occasion.
