Sarang Demands Ban on Jaswant’s Book all over Country
Senior BJP leader Kailash Sarang has demanded that expelled party leader Jaswant Singh’s book on Pakistan’s founder Mohammad Ali Jinnah – that has triggered tremendous controversy, of late – should be banned in the whole country.
Sarang was quoted as saying by PTI that the Gujarat government has already banned the book and similar step would soon be taken by other BJP ruled states also.
In response to a query if state government should ban the book, he said that he hoped that it would be banned in Madhya Pradesh also.
Expressing his view on Jaswant Singh’s expulsion from the BJP, he said that this was “most appropriate step”.
The senior BJP leader said that the biggest mistake committed by Jaswant Singh was to unnecessarily heap praise on Jinnah.
He said BJP was a responsible political party and no leader from it could be given permission to praise someone who was responsible for the Partition.
