Sainkhera in Narsinghpur tehsi to be a new tahsil: CM Shri Chouhan

Bhopal: Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan has announced tahsil status to Sainkhera in Narsinghpur district. Addressing a massive gathering at district-level Antyodaya Mela at Gadarwara today, Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that feeder separation work is progressing at a rapid pace. All the villages in Narsinghpur district will start getting 24-hour power supply from May. He announced an industrial area at a cost of Rs. 49 crore at Kathotiya-Gadarwara for development of brass and Dal mills and other industries.
At the Antyodaya Mela, assistance worth Rs. 136 crore 13 lakh 50 thousand was distributed to 2 lakh 36 thousand 237 beneficiaries. The Chief Minister distributed cheques, sanction letters, registration letters etc. to beneficiaries as a token. He gave away national savings certificates to baby Sania and baby Khushi under the Ladli Laxmi Yojna. Shri Chouhan announced to provide Rs. 5 crore for various development works in Gadarwara town. He said that a tribal girls hostel will be constructed at Gadarwara. The Chief Minister said that Narsinghpur district can become pioneer in agriculture production.
The Chief Minister said that now farmers will have to pay electricity bills only twice a year after Rabi and Kharif crops. Power recovery will be made at the rate of Rs. 1200 per horsepower per annum. This scheme will come into effect from April 1. Shri Chouhan informed that the Union Government has announced wheat procurement price at Rs. 1350 per quintal. Madhya Pradesh government will give Rs. 150 per quintal bonus and procure wheat from farmers at Rs. 1500 per quintal. Fifty percent jobs in industries will be provided to local people as per MoUs signed with investors. Skill development centres are being set up in the state. Small industries will come up in villages as a result of 24-hour power supply in the state. Mukhyamantri Swarozgar Yojna will be launched on April 1 to motivate youths to set up industries. The State Government will provide upto Rs. 25 lakh loan for setting up of industries and also give its guarantee.
The Chief Minister informed that Sardar Vallabh Bhai Patel Free Medicine Distribution Scheme has been started in all the government hospitals. Free pathology tests are also being conducted. Shri Chouhan said that a number of schemes have been launched in the state for women’s empowerment. Serious note is being taken in cases of crimes against women. Provision of pension has been made for patents above 60 years of age who have only daughters. Honorarium of all the panchayat representatives including panchas has been increased. He also administered pledge to common people to extend cooperation in development works.
The Chief Minister inaugurated the Antyodaya Mela by performing Kanya Poojan and lighting a lamp before pictures of Father of Nation Mahatma Gandhi and Pt. Deendayal Upadhyay. Various departments including the Public Relations Department had put up an exhibition at the fair.
