Rs. 7 crore sanction for piped water schemes in Bhopal

Bhopal: The Public Health Engineering Department has sanctioned Rs. seven crore 19 lakh for 21 piped water schemes of Bhopal circle. After completion of these scheme, the responsibility to operate and maintain them will be entrusted to concerning Gram Panchayats. Public contribution in the schemes has been fixed at three percent in general category Gram Panchayats and one percent in SC,ST-dominant Gram Panchayats.
In Raisen districts, these schemes will be built at a cost of Rs. 40 lakh at Jamunia and Rs. 22 lakh. As many as eight piped water scheme have been sanctioned for Sehore district including Kuri Nayapura (Rs. 38.91 lakh), Tikamod (Rs. 49.99 lakh), Piplani (49.97 lakh), Tiladia (Rs. 49.72 lakh), Khamkhera and Hakimabad (Rs. 40 lakh each), Jamunia (Rs. 36 lakh) and Mandi region of Sehore tahsil (Rs.32 lakh). Five piped water schemes will be built in Hoshangabad district including Mehragaon (Rs. 25 lakh), Rampur (Rs. 20.65 lakh), Bhatgaon (Rs. 24.98 lakh) Chatarkhera (Rs. 10.65 lakh) and Bankabedi (Rs. 14.10 lakh).
Three piped water schemes have been sanctioned for Betul district including Pusli (Rs. 44.39 lakh), Satner (Rs. 29.38 lakh), Umaria (Rs. 19.95 lakh) and Nankundi (Rs. 34 lakh). A sum of Rs. 48 lakh has been sanctioned for Bangrasia in Bhopal district and Rs. 40 lakh for Tajpura in Harda district. Directives have been given to implementation agencies to complete the schemes with quality within prescribed time-limit.
