Ravindra Bhavan main gate’s approach road to be built

Bhopal. An approach road for going directly to the main gate of Ravindra Bhavan will be constructed after discussing the matter with the Culture Department. Besides, the road from Banganga Crossing to Raj Bhavan will be converted into four-lane road. Instructions to this effect were given during the inspection of Ravindra Bhavan by Urban Administration and Development Minister Shri Babulal Gaur and in-charge of Bhopal district and Environment & Water Resources Minister Shri Jayant Malaiya here today.

Minister Shri Malaiya instructed Capital Project Administration (CPA) to prepare projects for Ravindra Bhavan approach road, development of Swaraj Bhavan and vacant land near it and development of the road from Banganga Crossing upto Raj Bhavan.

The Minister duo Shri Gaur and Shri Malaiya later inspected Hathaikhera Dam. District in-charge Shri Malaiya instructed CPA to chalk out a comprehensive project for the dam’s beautification and development. He said that the responsibility of maintenance of tourist spot being developed at Hathaikhera should be entrusted to Madhya Pradesh State Tourism Development Corporation.

Minister Shri Gaur said that there is need to construct a road from Hathaikhera Dam to Ghora Pachhad Dam and a boundary wall to protect Hathaikhera Dam.

Collector Shri Nikunj Shrivastava informed that land has been earmarked for boat club, tourism huts and cafeteria to be constructed by the Tourism Development Corporation. The Water Resources Department will transfer the land when Tourism Development Corporation moves an application to this effect. CPA officers informed that besides plantation of five thousand saplings, four thousand running meters of fencing will also be made at Hathaikhera Dam in the first phase. The Water Resources Department has sent a proposal of Rs. 1.50 crore for the dam’s renovation for approval. Social worker Shri Raghunandan Singh Rajput (Kannu Bhaiyya) informed that the work of removing silt from Hathaikhera Dam is done every Sunday through contributory labour.

Bhopal Municipal Corporation Commissioner Shri Rajneesh Shrivastava, local people’s representatives and officers of various departments were also present on the occasion.
