Provision of Irrigation Facilities is Government’ Top Priority

Bhopal. Minister for Public Relations, Water Resources and Parliamentary Affairs Dr. Narottam Mishra said that provision of irrigation facility for Udgavan area is the top priority of the state government. He further said that an irrigation scheme worth Rs. 2600 crore is under construction in Ashoknagar district. Datia district will be benefited by this scheme. Sufficient irrigation water will be provided to the Udgavan area. Dr. Mishra mentioned that at present work of large potable water scheme is going on. Udgavan including other villages will have good potable water arrangements shortly. Dr. Mishra said this amid the farmers at Udgavan of district Datia.

Datia District Becomes First in Crop Insurance Amount Distribution

Minister Dr. Mishra mentioned that certificates of crop insurance amount will be distributed to the farmers by the Chief Minister on November 4 in Datia district. Farmers are urged to attend the programme. Dr. Mishra further said that Datia is the first district where amount is being distributed under the Pradhanmantri Crop Insurance Scheme. This scheme has been prepared keeping in view the welfare of the farmers. Under this an interim amount of Rs. 9 crore 17 thousand is being distributed to the farmers presently. Dr. Mishra said that 19 revenue halqa wise stalls will be put up at the local stadium ground on November 4 to facilitate farmers to obtain their certificates conveniently. Also important information will be provided to the farmers. Beside this, exhibitions focusing welfare schemes of several departments will be organized. He appealed to the farmers to visit exhibitions and derive benefits of the schemes. He further said that state has become the island of peace and there are no dacoit’s gangs in the division at present. Minister Dr. Mishra was warmly welcomed by the villagers on reaching Udgavan.
