Protest against Rupees two hike in Sanchi milk price

BHOPAL: “BJP Government of the State has presented the gift of milk price hike to its senior Minister Lal Krishna Advani on his Bhopal visit. Such price hike has affected the enthusiasm of upcoming Diwali festival,” said Chairman of the media department of State Congress Manak Agrawal while stating against the price hike by Dugdha Sangh of MP Government.

People of Bhopal carried out protest against the price hike of milk, as Diwali festival is very near people get disappointed due to this act of the MP government.

“The congress is assuming the price hike immediately before Advani’s visit as if the kids crying for milk has welcomed his Rath Yatra to Bhopal. The decision of milk price hikes by the Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan shows that he is not as kind with kids as he pretends to be in advertisements,” he added.

Agrawal further said, “The effort of BJP Government in MP is a complete show off. The Chief Minister has used Rupees two crores from the State fund in the name of ‘Beti bachao abhiyan’. On the other hand, Chouhan has increased the price of milk which is an important nutrition for the children.”

“The Congress need a reply from Chouhan that the girls from poor families who cannot afford the increased milk price shall live how long in the situation where the Minister is taking various steps to protect girls these days,” he added.

Manak Agrawal while protesting the price hike demanded to take it back otherwise a movement favouring children will be carried out on streets.

Communist Party of India also protested the milk price hike. It is known that Bhopal Dugdh Sangh has increased the milk price sixth time in past one and a half year. While mentioning this increment as inhuman behavior, the party demanded the Sangh to step back the milk price hike. The party has also declared a hunger strike from October 21 to protest the increment.

Shailendra Kumar Shaili district Secretary of the party said, “Public is already suffering from inflation these days. In such scenario, the increased price of milk at the rate of Rs two per litre by Sanchi Dairy is really inhuman. Total 39 per cent increment in Sanchi milk price in past one and a half year is the result of poor schemes of Madhya Pradesh Government.
