Proper arrangements to be made for treatment of childless women

Bhopal. Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that proper arrangements will be made for treatment of childless women. A campaign will be launched to extend benefit to maximum number of farmers under Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana. Besides, efforts will also be made to preserve Jeerashankar paddy and other conventional food grains. The Chief Minister reviewed works undertaken during ‘Gramoday Se Bharat Uday Abhiyan’ through video-conferencing today.

The Chief Minister reviewed works undertaken in Jabalpur, Ujjain, Bhopal and Narmadapuram divisions. He sought information from district collectors regarding works undertaken under Gramoday Abhiyan, number of beneficiaries scheme-wise and innovations. He directed distribution of amounts under beneficiary oriented schemes within time-limit. He directed to ensure proper treatment of women identified as childless during Abhiyan, organize blood donation camps and repair and deepen water structures. He said that water structures are our heritages. He directed for coaching of other students also like tribal students for IIT and other competitive exams.

The Chief Minister said that Madhya Pradesh is pioneer to fix insurance companies under Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana by inviting tenders. Insurance companies have been decided for all 5 clusters in the state. This will give bumper profit to farmers. Horticulture crops have also been covered under insurance. He directed to ensure that beneficiaries are distributed food grains through public distribution system only through eligibility slips. Shri Chouhan directed to undertake plantation in accordance with climate of different districts. He said that innovation of various districts should also be implemented in other districts.

The Chief Minister apprised himself of status of MNREGA payments in Jabalpur district. He directed to motivate farmers there to grow pulses instead of paddy. Besides, he lauded works undertaken under Mukhyamantri Yuva Udyami Yojana. It was informed that during Abhyan, toilets for disabled persons have been constructed in the district and disabled persons’ job fairs have been held. Similarly, he directed to distribute second installment under Indira Aawas Yojana by June 15 in Katni district. He apprised himself of operation of TVs and computers given to panchayats.

The Chief Minister congratulated Chhindwara district for excellent work for housing pattas’ distribution. It was informed that training to drive auto rickshaw is being imparted to women. They are also being given work to plant saplings of Chironji. The Chief Minister congratulated Narsinghpur district for innovations in skill development programme and public distribution system and directed to pay special attention to sanction of pension cases.

He directed to promote plantation of saplings of Sitaphal and set up food processing units to link it with market. In this district, large scale work of wells has been undertaken under Nirmal Neer Yojana.

The Chief Minister expressed happiness over selection of 47 tribal students of Mandla district in IIT this year and congratulated them. He directed to promote cultural activities. In this district, good work has been done under Mukhyamantri Aawas Yojana. The Chief Minister directed to accelerate pace of Aadhar seeding and monitor distribution of funds under beneficiary oriented schemes in Dindori district.

Shri Chouhan directed to ensure extension of public welfare schemes’ benefits in interior parts of Balaghat district and for more tours of officers in these areas. He directed to make special efforts to preserve district’s special paddy varieties Jeerashankar and Chinnaur. He said that taste of Jeerashankar rice is best in the world. It was informed that training of bangles of lakh is being imparted to disabled persons for self-employment. Besides, fish farming is also being undertaken under Khet-Talab Yojana. District’s hostels have been conferred ISO certificates. Works under Gramoday Abhiyan in other districts were also reviewed and necessary directives were given to officers.

Yashodhara Raje Scindia, Women and Child Development Minister Smt. Maya Singh, Labour Minister Shri Antar Singh Arya, Revenue Minister Shri Rampal Singh, Minister of State for Culture Shri Surendra Patwa, Minister of State for Education Shri Deepak Joshi, Chief Secretary Shri Anthony de Sa and other officers attended the video-conferencing.
