Prakash Parv celebrated at CM House

Bhopal. Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan organized Guru Nanak Jayanti Prakash Parv at his residence with traditional fervour here today. Addressing large number of Sikh community members on the occasion, he said that teachings of Guru Nanak have power to solve global problems. He has that Sikh community has tradition of sacrifice. He said that all human beings are equal since they are children of God.

The Chief Minister recited Shabad Kirtan along with Ragis. He paid obeisance to Guru Granth Saheb. Sikh community felicitated the Chief Minister by offering him turban.

Shri Chouhan said that Sikh community has left its imprint on society. He called for joint efforts for state’s progress and prosperity, donate something from hard earned income for charity and help out those in distress.

Madhya Pradesh Sikh Samaj felicitated the Chief Minister with turban, sword and shawl. President Shri Jitenderpal Singh Gill presented him letter of citation. Sikh Samaj praised the Chief Minister to start tradition of respecting all religions and wished him long life while congratulating him for completing 10 years in office.

Prakash Parv began with Shabad Kirtan. On the occasion, the Chief Minister felicitated Gyani Dilip Singh and representatives of other religions. Former Chief Minister Shri Kailash Joshi, Bhopal Mayor Shri Alok Sharma, Chief Minister’s wife Smt. Sadhana Singh and distinguished citizens were present on the occasion.
