Pradhan Mantri Jan-Dhan Yojana: Cent percent bank accounts opened in Jabalpur district also

Bhopal: Jabalpur has also joined districts in the state where bank accounts of cent percent families have been opened under Pradhan Mantri Jan-Dhan Yojana.

Through a drive, 2 lakh 22 thousand 907 bank accounts have been opened in the district. Three lakh 8 thousand 115 out of total 5 lakh 31 thousand 22 families already had bank accounts in the district. Now, there is no uncovered family in the district. Banks have also provided RuPay Cards to 2 lakh 15 thousand 518 families in the district.

Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan has congratulated Jabalpur Collector Shri Shiv Narayan Roopla and Lead Bank Manager Shri P.K. Gupta for this achievement. It is noteworthy that bank accounts of all families have been opened earlier in Ujjain, Indore, Khandwa, Dewas, Datia, Dhar, Shahdol, Sehore, Ratlam and Raisen districts
