Policy for performing post-mortem at private medical colleges
BHOPAL: The state government will make a liberal policy to grant permission to private medical colleges to conduct post-mortem.
The instructions in this regard were given by Home Minister Umashankar Gupta at a meeting at Mantralaya here on Monday.
A studied of similar policies already in existence in the states of Karnataka and Maharashtra will be made before granting permission of conducting post-mortem to private medical colleges.
The students of medical colleges required dead body for conducting their practicals.
The guideline of Medical Council of India should be kept in mind before framing any such policy says Home Minister.
Additional Chief Secretary Ashok Das, Director General of Police Nandan Dube, Director Medico Legal Institute Badkul and other officers were present on the occasion.
