Police should deal with anti-social elements strictly: Gaur

Bhopal: Home Minister Shri Babulal Gaur has said that police should strictly deal with anti-social elements to build a fear-free atmosphere in the state. He directed to adopt a sensitive attitude towards weaker sections and women. Shri Gaur was addressing a meeting of police officers at Police Headquarters here today. DGP Shri Nandan Dube was also present on the occasion.

The Home Minister said that arrangements should be made at police stations to hold direct dialogue with common people. He said that police teams should do patrolling specially in the morning and evening when there is heavy rush of people on roads. Good atmosphere should be created in police stations. Shri Gaur said that seized vehicles should be removed from premises of police stations and parked at prescribed places in the city. He also laid emphasis on plantation in police station premises.

The Home Minister said that women police should pay more attention to patrolling near girls colleges and schools. Strict action should be taken against eve teasers. The Home Minister said that police force will be increased in proportion to rising population in the state.
