Parents with only daughters to get pension benefit in the state

Bhopal: Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that the parents who have only daughters in the state will be given pension by the State Government. Shri Chouhan said that efforts have been made in the state to change direction of politics by empowering women. Shri Chouhan was speaking at a Women’s Empowerment-cum-Good Governance Convention at Shahpura in Dindori district today.

Chief Minister Shri Chouhan sanctioned construction works costing Rs. 11 crore for infrastructure development in Shahpura and Dindori Nagar Panchayat. He also announced to set up registrar office at Shahpura and opening of government college at Gadarsai. The Chief Minister said that the State Government is providing Rs. 15 lakh each to SC, ST girls for pursuing education abroad. He said that the State Government will give loan guarantee to the students who pursue higher education. Facility of repaying the loan in instalments will be given to the students after they complete six months in job. The State Government will also bear the interest on education loan. He said that poor persons will be given bank guarantee upto Rs. 50 thousand by the State Government to start trade.
The Chief Minister inaugurated the convention by lighting a lamp. Shri Chouhan also participated in Godbharai Programme of pregnant women. He distributed driving licences to girls and women under the Project Parivartan. Former Union Minister and MP Shri Phaggan Singh Kulaste also spoke on the occasion.
