Over Rs. 301 crore sanctioned for 5 irrigation projects
Bhopal: Administrative sanction has been granted to 5 irrigation projects costing Rs. 301 crore 76 lakh 24 thousand. Of these, one major irrigation project each is situated in Gwalior and Mandla district and 3 medium projects in Vidisha district. These projects will bring 58 thousand hectare under irrigation.
Rs. 63 crore 56 lakh 39 thousand has been sanctioned for Thanwar major project on Thanwar River at village Jhanpur in Mandla district. It will irrigate 18 thousand 211 hectare. Administrative sanction of Rs. 158 crore 94 lakh 77 thousand has been given to Harsi major irrigation projects in Bhitarwar tahsil of Gwalior district. It will irrigate 18 thousand 321 hectare.
In Vidisha district, Rs. 11 crore 90 lakh 70 thousand has been sanctioned for watershed management in the command area of Baghru medium irrigation project at village Teunadi, Rs. 11 crore 61 lakh 18 thousand for Rehti project in village Bagoda and administrative sanction of Rs. 55 crore 73 lakh 20 thousand has been given for Sagad medium irrigation project in Shamshabad tahsil. Designed irrigation potential of the three projects is 22 thousand 171 hectare.
