History to be created in Madhya Pradesh on July 2, says Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan

Bhopal: Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan said that history of sapling plantation on a very large scale will be created in the state on July 2. Over 6 crore saplings with public cooperation will be planted on this day in Narmada basin. Preparations are being made on war footing for the plantation. CM Chouhan reviewed the preparations for this ambitious public campaign through video conferencing.
Reviewing the plantation preparations in districts concerning Narmada basin, Chouhan mentioned that this public movement will be transformed into a Jan-Mahotsav. Participation of social, religious, cultural, political and all the organisations besides farmers, business men, students, government employees and others will be ensured in the plantation.
Sufficient arrangements for pits and people will be made.
Chouhan further stated that a major resolve of Narmada Seva Mission will be fulfilled by this significant campaign. Chouhan expressed pleasure and satisfaction over innovations undertaken in the districts to maximize people’s participation and for plantation’s preparations.
He said that he himself will take part in plantation at Amarkantak, Jabalpur and Khandwa districts. CM Chouhan further mentioned that inauguration of plantation Mahaabhiyan should be carried out by garlanding picture of Maa Narmada and recitation of Narmada Geet. Participation of public organizations, people and public representatives should be ensured in the campaign. He apprised himself about the availability of saplings, pits’ status and people’s participation from each district collector.
Minister for Forest Dr Gourishankar Shejwar, Minister for Public Works Rampal Singh, Chief Secretary BP Singh, officers beside MPs, MLAs and public representatives were present during the review.
