Opposition stalls house
BHOPAL: Opposition stalls the house over the issue of waiving off farmer’s loan. They staged a walkout from the assembly on Wednesday.
The opposition leader Ajay Singh termed it as a serious breach of trust and demanded an apology and resignation from the Chief Minister Chauhan.The issue in the house has been raised by the congress legislator Aqueel.
The minister said, “I am minister of the government of Madhya Pradesh and not answerable to the promise of the party.”
The Speaker Ishwardas Rohani had to intervene saying “you may theoretically right but not practically.”He further added, “Manifesto of a party is not less than Bhagawat Gita or Holy Quran” and the people vote for a party for execution of the promises made in it and hence, the minister was not right in concluding that he had nothing to do with the party manifesto.
Ajay Singh also accused the government of cheating the people for not implementing its own promises made in the manifesto.
