Oil on boil: At 77.76, petrol touches record high in Bhopal
BHOPAL: Crossing Rs 80 mark, premium petrol will cost Rs 80.62 in the city and the state past midnight even before the state government’s additional 1% cess on petrol and diesel comes into effect on Tuesday.
Normal petrol was selling at Rs 77.76 on Monday – the highest in the history of Madhya Pradesh .
During the UPA government, Rs 76.00 a litre mark was the highest petrol commanded in the state, according to MP Petrol & Diesel Dealers’ Association.MP Petrol & Diesel Dealers’ Association president Ajay Singh said upswing in prices of petrol and diesel coupled with 1% dynamic cess of the state government would surely jack up the price of normal petrol beyond Rs 80 in next few days..
