No village will be left unconnected with main roads in state now

Bhopal: Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that no village will be left unconnected with main roads in state now. He said that every big and small need of people will be fulfilled. Shri Chouhan was addressing a public meeting at Gulabganj tahsil headquarters in Vidisha district today. He said that he will live up to the trust reposed in him by people of the state in Vidhan Sabha elections.

The Chief Minister said that poor people in the state will be provided wheat, rice and salt at the rate of Re. one kg. He directed district administration officers to hold a special camp at Gulabganj on December 27 to add every poor person with this scheme. Shri Chouhan said that if a poor person is dwelling on government land for long, he will not be evicted in any case. He informed that 15 lakh houses will be constructed for the poor in the next 5 years. Drinking water facility will be provided in all habitats.

Vidisha to be developed as ideal Vidhan Sabha constituency in India: The Chief Minister said that Vidisha will be developed as ideal Vidhan Sabha constituency in India. Every household in every village of Vidisha will have a clean toilet. Panchayats to be elected unopposed in the district will be transformed. Shri Chouhan said that he will try to reach every village of Vidisha by undertaking an intensive tour.

Major announcements: The Chief Minister asked the students present on the occasion whether they go to Vidisha for studies. When the student replied in affirmative, Shri Chouhan announced that they will not have to go Vidisha from next session. A college will be opened at Gulabganj itself. Shri Chouhan also acceded to farmers’ demand and sanctioned 9 barrages in Gulabganj.

Ahmadpur public meeting: The Chief Minister, Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan also addressed a public meeting at Ahmadpur town of Vidisha district today. He said that now 3 lakh houses will be constructed annually for the poor. Shri Chouhan said that this year, Rs. 150 per quintal bonus will be given on procurement of wheat. Shri Chouhan directed officers to dispose of applications received at the public meeting within prescribed time-limit. He said that he will visit Vidisha constituency every fortnight. Chief Minister’s wife Smt. Sadhna Singh, Shamshabad MLA Shri Suryaprakash Meena, Kurwai MLA Shri Veer Singh Pawar and other public representatives were present on the occasion.
