No Right to Live for Criminals Involved in Heinous Crimes with Girls

Bhopal. Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan said that there is no right to live for criminals involved in heinous crimes with girls. A stringent provision must be made to punish them. All the agriculture fields of Harda district will be irrigated from the back waters of Narmada River. A special campaign will be conducted for de-addiction. Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan was addressing the Jan-Sanvad programme in ‘Namami Devi Narmade’ –Seva Yatra at village Karanpura of Harda district.

CM Shri Chouhan said that Maa Narmada has given everything to Madhya Pradesh. Irrigation facility is being provided on 30 percent part of the state from Narmada water. Moreover, potable water is being provided to Amarkantak, Dindori, Jabalpur, Bhopal, Omkareshwar, Harda and Indore beside other cities from Narmada. Treatment plants will be installed soon to protect Narmada river from pollution. Moreover Shri Chouhan said that poojan kunds, muktidhams and changing rooms for women will be constructed on the banks of River Narmada. Also amount will be provided for construction of toilets to toilet less families. He mentioned that liquor shops will be removed from the villages and settlements situated in the radius of 5 kilometer on north and south banks of Narmada river. A subsidy of Rs. 20 thousand per hectare till three years for undertaking fruit plantation on agriculture land located on the banks of Narmada River and 40 percent financial assistance of plantation cost will also be provided.

Shri Chouhan further mentioned that we all have to decide to stop open defecation in order to prevent release of sewage in Narmada River. Panchayats which have become free of open defecation will be provided more funds for development. He urged the people to administer pledge to purify Narmada River and to save environment.

CM Shri Chouhan said that we will not let release sewage water of cities in Narmada river. Treatment plants are being established for this. Water from this will be utilised for irrigation. Also polythene bags will be banned in the state from May 1. Scholarships to students of general category will also be provided along with scheduled caste and scheduled tribe students.

Shri Chouhan performed pooja of Narmada kalash and flag beside kanya poojan. He also honoured saints and took their blessings on the occasion. Yatra from Karanpura covering Sontalai, Panchakalai, Babar and Bamhan villages will reach Dhanwada and from here will enter Khandwa district on January 31.

Minister for Higher Education Shri jaibhan Singh Pawayya, Chairman State Tourism Development Corporation Shri Tapan Bhoumik, President Harda Nagar Palika Shri Surendra Jain and Former MLA Shri Kamal Patel were present on the occasion.
