No Illegal Liquor Sale in State Now

Bhopal. Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan performed bhoomi poojan of Parkul Medium Irrigation Project costing Rs. 115 crore to be constructed in village Bilhara under Surkhi constituency of Sagar district. This project will facilitate irrigation on 3 thousand 200 hectare area. A total of 19 villages will be benefitted by this project. District level Mukhyamantri Swachchata Samman Samaroh, District level Krishi Vigyan Mela, Jal Abhishek, Beneficiaries’ Convention and Antyodaya Mela were also organised on this occasion.

CM Shri Chouhan declared Jaisinagar block of the district open defecation free. He performed bhoomi poojan and dedicated development works worth Rs. 500 crore besides Parkul Irrigation project. Shri Chouhan made announcements to make Jaisinagar a tahsil, to open I.T.I. in Rahatgarh, to make Bilhara a Nagar panchayat having 20 thousand population. He also announced sanction for 26 roads and construction of mangal bhavan in Bilahara.

No Illicit Liquor Sale in State Now

  1. Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that from now onwards sale of illegal liquor will not be allowed in the state. He appealed for hard work and honesty under Gramoday Abhiyan. Shri Chouhan called upon the employees on strike to join the work again.

Shri Chouhan mentioned that Bundelkhand will not lack in irrigation facility. Farmers will not face any shortages. He further said that farmers are required to repay only Rs. 90 thousand against a loan of Rs. One lakh. The government has not left any stone unturned to provide relief amount to the farmers. Moreover, the state government has decided that Mahua flowers will not be sold less than Rs. 30 per k.g. in the state. Shoes to male tendu leaves collectors and slippers to women will be provided. Arrangements of education and employment will be made for each poor person. No poor person will remain starved in the state. Wheat, rice and salt at the rate of Re. One is being provided in the state. Full meal at the rate of Rs. 5 is being provided to the poor under the Deendayal Rasoi Yojana. Land lease will be given for housing to all the poor people of the state. Also fee of the poor students for pursuing higher studies will be borne by the state government on getting admissions in medical and engineering colleges on securing over 75 percent marks in 12th examination. A provision of 50 percent reservation has been made for women in teachers’ recruitment. Shri Chouhan said that enacting a law for capital punishment to rapists in the monsoon session will be sent to the President, he added.

MP Shri Yadav stated that irrigation area in the state is increasing constantly. Surkhi area is also moving ahead in irrigation. Development works are being carried out by the Central and State government continuously.

MLA Smt. Parul Sahu mentioned that development of this area will gain pace after dedication and bhoomi poojan of these development works.

Minister for Panchayat and Rural Development Shri Gopal Bhargava, Minister for Home and Transport Shri Bhupendra Singh, MP Shri Laxminarayan Yadav, MLAs Shri Shailendra Jain, Shri Pradeep Lariya, Shri Harvansh Singh Rathore and other public representatives were present on the occasion.
