New research is imperitive to make country’s homeopathy system of medicine world-class

Union Ministry of AYUSH secretary Vaidya Rajesh Kotecha said that there is a need to conduct new researches constantly to make the country’s present homeo system of medicine world-class. He said that in the last 8 years, several remarkable works have been conducted in the field of infrastructure for development in the field of Indian system of medicine. Union Secretary AYUSH was virtually addressing a two-day national seminar from New Delhi of doctors and principals of homeopathy colleges across the country in Bhopal today. The national seminar is being organised at the AYUSH Auditorium of AYUSH Complex MACT Hills.

He said that in the last few years, the economy of the Indian system of medicine has increased from Rs 21 thousand crores to more than Rs one lakh crore. He said that homeopathy education courses need to be further improved in line with the new education policy. Only after reforms, service of world-class doctors will be available in the field of homeopathy in the country. Main speaker in the programme Chairman, National Homeopathy Commission, Dr. Anil Khurana, said that there is a lot of scope for the expansion of homeopathy in the field of medicine in the country. For this there is a need to work with team spirit as per the policy.

Ashok Varshney, member of the Consultative Committee of the Union Ministry of AYUSH, said that the public in the country wishes to adopt homeopathy system of medicine widely. For this there is a need to increase its reach. He told about the need to provide all kinds of help to the homeopathy research scholar. Principal Secretary AYUSH Prateek Hajela said that during the Corona crisis, people’s faith in the Indian system of medicine has increased. He apprised about the remarkable achievements made in the Ayush Cure app. He apprised that the Yog Se Nirog programme has also received the Chief Minister’s Award for Excellence. In his address, Joint Secretary Rahul Sharma told the need to involve more and more students of Homeopathy College in research work. The chairpersons of the Commission for Education, Registration and Evaluation also expressed their views in the programme.

In the programme, Dr. Sanjay Gupta, Secretary, National Homeopathic Commission, apprised about the objectives of the national seminar. He told that for the first time the National Homeopathy Commission is organising such a seminar in Bhopal in collaboration with the Union Ministry of AYUSH. On the second day of the seminar, on January 25, there will be discussion on expansion in the field of homeopathy in various sessions.
