National Bal Rang to get underway on January 10

Bhopal: The open-air theatre of Indira Gandhi Rashtriya Manav Sangrahalaya will belong to participating students during National Bal Rang on January 10 and 11. During the two-day event, students from 21 states will display their arts and talents. The event will be inaugurated by Additional Chief Secretary School Education Shri S.R. Mohanthy on January 10 at 10.30 am.
National Folk Dance Competitions under Bal Rang will be held from 12 noon. Students of Himachal Pradesh, Gujarat, Chandigarh, Haryana, Bihar, Jammu-Kashmir, Puducherry, Arunachal Pradesh, Mizoram, Nagaland, Assam, Kerala, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Punjab, Maharashtra, Chhattisgarh, Daman & Diu, Manipur, Meghalaya and Madhya Pradesh will participate in them. At Marugaon in Sangrahalaya, jungle camp, adventure, river crossing, monkey bridge, commando watching tower bridge, rock climbing, wall repelling and tent pitching activities will be held from 10 am. Besides, activities including conservation of life, urban culture, folk dance, Parv Utsav, literary and cultural programmes, Model Village, Smart City, Children’s Court, Children’s Police, Child Protection Commission, Bal Sabha, Children’s Library, Children’s Science Centre, Bal Rang Forum, Children’s Cultural Club, Swachchh Madhya Pradesh-Vikasit Madhya Pradesh, Swasth Bharat, Children’s Cinema, sports club, agriculture, horticulture, disaster management, skill development, children’s traffic etc will also be held.
At Bal Rang, students will put up craft exhibition and Mini India Exhibition. Mini India Exhibition will be organised on the theme “Glorious India”. Bal Rang’s concluding and award function and presentation of best group folk dance will be held on January 11 at 2 pm. DGP Shri Surendra Sinh will be chief guest on the occasion.
