MP to be ahead of other states in every field, says Shivraj Singh Chouhan

BHOPAL: Madhya Pradesh will set an example by being ahead of other states in every field, said Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan.

He made the above statement at the inauguration of a series of webinars on Atmanirbhar MP on Friday.

Chouhan said a more systematic form is being given to the efforts made in the past four months for Atmanirbhar MP under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Atmanirbhar Bharat scheme.

In three years, a better roadmap is required to make the state more self-reliant, he said, adding that, it will be prepared on the basis of the suggestions in the webinars.

The people of the state will be apprised with the features of the roadmap this week itself, that they may know everything about self-reliant MP on the Independence Day. Chouhan said efforts should be made to make MP ahead of other states in every sector.

The construction of the expressway will change the topography of the Chambal region, and four-lane and six-lane roads will be constructed wherever necessary, Chouhan said.

The chief minister said state will benefit from the speeches by NITI Ayog representatives especially CEO Amitabh Kant and advisor Sanjay Saha at the webinar. Kant said his team would cooperate with the government to make MP self-reliant in three years.

Saha said all people should have some station/mode of transport within 800 meters in Atmanirbhar MP.

Members of NITI Aayog, subject experts, central and state government officials, state ministers and about 150 delegates from various fields are taking part in the webinars.

Chief secretary Iqbal Singh Bains said the aim of organising the webinar is to transform Covid-19 into an opportunity and to work on Atmanirbhar MP.
