MP Government committed to rehabilitating disabled

Bhopal: Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that the State Government will leave no stone unturned in ensuring welfare and rehabilitation of disabled. Chief Minister Shri Chouhan was speaking at marriage ceremony of disabled couples organised by Lions Club Mayurvan at Morena today. The Chief Minister blessed 35 couples at the ceremony, which was presided over by MP and State BJP President Shri Narendra Singh Tomar.
Shri Chouhan said that this is the first marriage convention of the state where 35 disabled couples are tying nuptial knots. He said that under Nishaktjan Vivah Protsahan Yojna, the State Government will give Rs. 25 thousand if one of spouses is disabled and Rs. 50 thousand if both are disabled. Shri Chouhan also directed the district collector also to provide assistance amount to four disabled couples from Uttar Pradesh entering into wedlock at the ceremony.
Referring to industrial development, the Chief Minister said that he has also announced a new industrial area known as Sitapur in Morena district. Doors are also being opened for establishing industries in the area by developing government land along Agra-Mumbai Highway passing through Morena, Gwalior and Shivpuri as industrial corridor.
Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said at Madhya Pradesh has received Rs. 2 crore and citation with Krishi Karman Award. For this, he congratulated farmers of Morena also.
MP Shri Tomar said that the Chief Minister has worked to change image and fortune of Madhya Pradesh. He said that till the year 2003, Madhya Pradesh used to be a sick state. We lagged behind in every sector. But under the leadership of Shri Chouhan, Madhya Pradesh has become pioneer in agriculture, industrial and other sectors in the country.
State backward Classes and Minorities Finance Development Corporation Chairman Shri Rustam Singh, MLAs Shri Shivmangal Singh Tomar, Shri Parasram Mudgal, Shri Kamlesh Suman and Shri Maniram Dhakad, State Forest Development Corporation Vice-Chairman Shri Babulal Mevra, Zila Panchayat Chairman Shri Satyapal Singh and office-bearers of Lions Club were present on the occasion.
Chief Minister Shri Chouhan felicitated Lions Club Morena District President Shri Yogesh Pal with international award. The Chief Minister also released a book “Chambal Nari” written by Shri Ramswaroop Upadhyay.
