Material prosperity meaningless without spiritual awakening, India to become most value-based country: Sadguru Jaggi Vasudev Ji Maharaj

Bhopal: Yugdrishta Yogi Sadguru Jaggi Vasudev Ji Maharaj has said that material prosperity is meaningless without spiritual awakening. He said that Simhastha Mahakumbh-2016 will pave way for this. He said that world peace cannot be possible if every person does not have peace of mind. He said that peace is not an imported thing; it dwells naturally in the hearts and minds of human beings.

Sadguru Vasudev Ji lauded the seminar and the events to be held thereafter ahead of Simhastha Mahakumbh. He said that under imaginative leadership of Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan, these events will give ideological proportions to Simhastha Mahakumbh side by side being a festival of holy bath. He was addressing inaugural session of 3-day international seminar on “Valued-based Life” at Vidhan Sabha here today. Series of these seminars will continue upto Simhastha Mahakumbh 2016. Chief Minister Shri Chouhan presided over the seminar.

Sadguru Jaggi Vasudev Ji Maharaj praised efforts of Chief Minister Shri Chouhan to bring about spiritual awakening side by side economic growth. He also referred to state’s unprecedented agriculture growth. Urging all to participate in Simhastha-2016, he said that Simhastha is not a mere ritualistic event, but a state of spiritual science.

Sadguru said that India would be known as the most value-based country in the world after 25 years. India alone can offer solutions to internal problems in the world. He said that now people have started seeing outside self instead of looking above themselves. They have become capable to think about themselves. India is now capable to solve its conscience-related maladies.

Sadguru Said that being born as human being is in itself an important event and objective of human life to acquire all capabilities for human welfare. He said that soil of India is unique. Bhav, raga and tala form India. Raga is fixed while tala can be selected. He said that life is a form of Karma. A human being performs physical, mental, emotional and energetic works, but is not able to be conscientious about them. He said that Dharma means the rules which govern and discipline inner self and nature.

Sadguru while replying to queries of audience said that there is a cacophony in India. Eeveryone is free to do anything, but every person is peace-loving by nature. It is the very identity and capability of India. He said that peace is a basic need. There may be a lot of concepts, but accurate tools are not available to implement them. If there are tools, wisdom to use them is lacking. He said that correct use of these tools has been described in Indian values of life. The acumen to use wisdom is found only in Indian values and Yogic science.

Giving outlines of the seminar, Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan said that it is a humble effort of the state government to revive traditions of ideological Mahakumbh. The Simhastha Declaration would offer solutions to global problems. Solutions to contemporary problems will be presented through Simhastha Declaration. He said that apart from material development, a government should also strive for improving happiness index. He said that over 2500 research papers have been collected from country and world at the international seminars. Over 100 scholars will deliver lectures. Throwing light on concept of seminar’s subject, he said that values are getting eroded in every walk of life. Life is meaningless without values. Referring to rich ideological heritage of Indian culture, he urged to disseminate it throughout the world through Simhashta.

Sadguru Jaggi Vasudev Ji Maharaj and the Chief Minister paid floral tributes to statue of Mahatma Gandhi on the premises of Vidhan Sabha. Shri Chouhan felicitated Sadguru with shawl, coconut and memento. The seminar began amidst religious chants of Vedic Mantras. The seminar is being held by Department of Cultural with the cooperation of Shiksha Sanskriti Utthan Nyas, New Delhi and Makhanlal University of Journalism & Mass Communication, Bhopal

Former CM Shri Kailash Joshi, Minister of State for Culture Shri Surendra Patwa, members of the cabinet and large number of distinguished people from all walks of life were present on the occasion.
