Massive Crowd on 65th Day of Narmada Seva Yatra in Badwani District

Bhopal. People are continuously joining the campaign of Narmada conservation initiated by Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan. A massive crowd emerged at Lohara village of Badwani district today on the 65th day of the “Namami Devi Narmade’-Seva Yatra. The yatra was welcomed by MP Shri Subhash Patel, Chairman of Madhya Pradesh Mineral Development Corporation Shri Shiv Choubey, Tribal Commission Chairman and Badwani district Yatra in charge Shri Bhupendra Singh Arya.

Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan will reach Mohipura village tomorrow to take part in the Narmada Seva Yatra.

Mineral Development Corporation Chairman Shri Shiv Choubey said that people are not at all hesitating to adopt the efforts of the Chief Minister to keep the Narmada clean and beautiful. Local citizens are coming forward to plant trees on both the banks of the river Narmada. People’s cooperation is noticeable at every step towards the conservation of Narmada. Shri Choubey administered oath to the people present on the occasion for conserving the Narmada.

The Yatra reached Narmada bank at Lohara village with a huge kalash shobha yatra after passing through Brahmangaon, Vishwanath Kheda, Chainpura, Chichli, Titgariya Kheda and Nalwaya village and villages close to Badwani district. On reaching Lohara village, the Yatra was accordeda grand welcome by local citizens with a shower of flowers. Here school students presented a cultural programme on the banks of the river Narmada. A mahaarti was conducted after the kalash and Yatra Dhwaj Pujan. The Yatris will stay at Lohara village for the night. Former MLA Messrs Devi Singh Patel and Prem Singh Patel besides a large number of social workers were also present on the occasion.
