Reports: F1 keen to add another race in Asia to its calendar

The recent Chinese Grand Prix drew huge crowds and it has prompted the FIA to look at further options within the country as a result.

Sean Bratches, the commercial F1 boss had this to say about what they are planning in China.

“We would be highly interested in a street race,” he mentioned.

“It would be a nice juxtaposition to the purpose-built facility we have [in Shanghai]. Our intent is to bring our show to the people.”

A street race in China then. It is rather interesting considering a street race is to be made for the Vietnam Grand Prix in Hanoi come 2020 and F1 have serious plans of expanding the street further in the continent.
