Make state a model in world: CM

Bhopal. Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that Ministers and officers will work as Team Madhya Pradesh to make the state a model for the world through efficient working. He directed to give better results and keep in live contact with people. The Chief Minister was addressing a joint meeting of Members of the Cabinet, Chief Secretary, Additional Chief Secretaries, Principal Secretaries and Secretaries at Mantralaya here today. He directed to make assessment of works done under Jan Sankalp-2013 and Vision 2018. Wherever shortcoming is detected in target achievement, a roadmap should be chalked out and implemented to meet it.

The Chief Minister said that all Minister should read Jan Sankalp-2013 and Vision 2018, find out how many achievements have been made during last 2 and half years, what are the shortcomings and chalk out a roadmap to meet the targets. He said that now the Ministers should be in leadership mode to ensure effective implementation of their departments’ works. He said that Ministers will give presentations in next departmental review meetings. If necessary, traditional arrangements should be changed in the larger interest of people. All should keep account of everyday’s work. Not a single day should be wasted. Interdepartmental issues should be solved through discussions between concerning Minister and officers.

The Chief Minister said that now officers’ CR would written on the basis of this roadmap and Ministers’ performances will also be assessed according to it. Departmental schemes and achievements should be posted on website. Use of social media should be made so that people can be aware of good practices. He directed to hold video-conferencing also. They should be alive to public grievances and ensure immediate necessary action. Live dialogue should be maintained with various groups and ensure to solve their problems. They should undertake monitoring of CM Helpline, talk to applicants and learn status of solution of their complaints.

The Chief Minister asked the Ministers to learn best practices of their respective departments and ponder what even better can be done for people. Redundant schemes can be abolished. Ensure prompt action on cases pertaining to corruption/Lokayukta. File tracking system should be implemented so that works are not delayed.

Presentation about ‘School Chalen Ham Abhiyan’ and preparations about ‘Hariyali Mahotsav’ were made at the meeting. It was informed that a major sapling plantation programme will be held under Hariyali Mahotsav from July 15 to August 15.
