Make available employment to bamboo craftspersons: CM
Bhopal: Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan was presented with artistic bamboo articles made in the state by Forest Minister Dr. Gaurishankar Shejwar here today. Praising them, Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that such articles should be markets in the state and country and employment opportunities should be make available to bamboo craftspersons.
Shri Chouhan said that such artistic products have large number of buyers. Every possible cooperation including financial assistance should be provided to state’s bamboo craftspersons under state government’s schemes. He said that the pen-stands gifted by the Forest Minister should be placed on his tables in CM house and Mantralaya offices. Shri Chouhan said that Madhya Pradesh Tourism Development Corporation can also make use of such useful bamboo products.
Director State Bamboo Mission Shri A.K. Bhattacharya was also present on the occasion. He informed that IKEA Global Chain has demanded bamboo goods. United State’s Artisan Company will establish a Rs. 700 crore factory in Jabalpur. Bamboo Mission has also started a scheme for maximum bamboo production.
