Madhya Pradesh to be made number one state : CM

Bhopal: Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that Madhya Pradesh is to be made number state of the country. He said that efforts are being made for this with people’s cooperation. He said that Madhya Pradesh is an agrarian state. Therefore, all efforts have been made to make agriculture profitable. Shri Chouhan was addressing a development block-level Antyodaya Mela at Naugaon in Chhatarpur district today. At the fair, funds to the tune of Rs. 5 crore 16 lakh under various schemes were sanctioned to 11 thousand 891 beneficiaries.
Shri Chouhan said that every filed will get water. For this, irrigation facilities have been increased. He said that the state will become prosperous only when farmers become rich and prosperous. He said that every loss in farming will be compensated. Therefore, farmers should not get concerned. Shri Chouhan said that rules will also be amended to provide compensation against loss to crops of betel leaves.
Inauguration of engineering college: Chief Minister Shri Chouhan inaugurated Government Engineering College at Naugaon today. The college constructed at a cost of Rs. 41 crore will impart teaching of civil and mechanical branches. Its classes will commence from the next academic session. Shri Chouhan said that no stone will be left unturned in ensuring that students of the state should bring laurels at the national level. He said that every possible assistance will be provided to youths for education and they will become self-reliant by establishing self-employment. He said that now youths will be gives loan to pursue higher education and establish self-employment and the State Government will give the loan guarantee.
Rs. 28 crore piped water scheme sanctioned” The Chief Minister also announced sanction of a Rs. 28 crore piped water scheme for Naugaon town and accord independent status to the Krishi Upaj Mandi. He said that Naugaon-based Model Higher Secondary School will be upgraded soon. Shri Chouhan said that every village will get 24-hour power supply soon so that our students can study and become self-reliant by establishing self-employment in villages.
